ZENS Jean Pierre

Jean Pierre ZENS was born in 1897 in Bastendorf, son of an Ackerer.
In 1921 he married Angela Catherina SCHMARTZ, daughter of Mathias SCHMARTZ (Gemeindeeinnehmer) and Catharina WEILAND (Hebamme) of Medernach. Jean Pierre’s occupation was Schmied and he resided at the time in Medernach.
The couple settled in Medernach where Jean Pierre established a mechanic’s workshop.
In 1959 Jean Pierre ZENS, together with his son Ernest, launched an atelier for manufacturing outward‑swinging garage doors (tradename HOBBY).
Jean Pierre ZENS died in 1976 in Mertzig.
In 1985 Romain ZENS (son of Ernest ZENS) and Ted GIVER-ZENS, (son-in-law of Ernest ZENS) took over the company.
