WENDLING Heinrich
It has not been possible to establish the origins of Heinrich WENDLING.
There is evidence of his presence in Luxembourg, as of 1927, until his death in 1932. According to his death notice in the local press his family was residing in Saarland.
Heinrich was probably born in 1877 in Saarland.
In March 1927 Heinrich WENDLING advertised that he was a Polstermeister and that he offered his services in Esch sur Alzette (14 Handelsstrasse).
In August 1927, his son Court (Kurt) Henri WENDLING offered similar services in 53 Luxemburger Strasse, followed by 19 Alzette Strasse and later (1929) in 77 Dicksstrasse.
Henri WENDLING (probably Court Henri) advertised the mattress of his (his father’s) invention under the name of WEZELLMA (“WEndling’s ZELLen-MAtraze”).
Willy WENDLING, the son of Heinrich, was also a Polstermeister, Sattler established in Dudelange.
In July 1931 Heinrich WENDLING was declared bankrupt. A year later, in June 1932, he died in Esch sur Alzette from a heart attack. He left a widow, Marie REHEIS, and had 5 children (see Addendum).
In 1933 Marie REHEIS married Franz LEDERLÉ, a Krankenwärter and in 1934 she set up a company under the name of Madame LEDERLÉ-REHEIS, commerce de matelas, désinfection.
In 1935 she obtained a brevet d’addition to the 1929 patent owned by her first husband.
