WEIWERS Jean
Jean WEIWERS was born in 1874 in Neudorf (Eich) as Johan WEYWERTS, son of Johan WEYWERTS (Strohdecker) and Catherine EBERHARD(T).
WEIWERS studied at the Athenée and joined the Civil Service (Douane) around 1893. In 1897 he decided to take up further studies and graduated as Dr. Ing. at the Technical University of Aachen. He re-entered civil service, but decided to set up on his own by creating the “Caves de la Moselle luxembourgeoise” in Grevenmacher. (see Addendum)
He married Anna PAUQUÉ around 1905.
In 1906, when their first child was born, they resided in Luxembourg-city (1 Petrus-Ring) and in 1925
the family resided in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie (Villa Betty).
Jean WEIWERS died in 1929 in Antibes (FR) where he had a secondary residence.
