UNDEN Jean

Jean UNDEN was born in 1828 in Vianden. His father Jakob UNDEN (b. 1802 in Vianden) was a Tuchfärber.
Jean was the eldest son and probably trained as Tuchfärber (teinturier) in his father’s business in Vianden.
By 1861 he had set up a teinturerie in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach in his own name.
He was joined by his two younger brothers Théodore and Charles, and the three brothers founded in 1868 the company “Société en nom collectif Teinturerie Unden” in Mühlenbach.
Jean UNDEN died in 1894 in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach.
