THONNARD Joseph

Joseph THONNARD was born in 1895 in Dudelange. His father was an Apotheker. He followed in the footsteps of his father and studied pharmaceutical science in Nancy (FR).
In 1916 he registered as docteur en pharmacie with the Luxembourg authorities.
In 1921 he married Johanna Marie Elisabeth (Lily) MARX in Dudelange 1921. She was the daughter of Pierre MARX Büro-Chef at ARBED.
In 1926 THONNARD resided in Luxembourg-city (rue Joseph II). There is no evidence that he managed a pharmacy. He was probably involved in manufacturing and selling of pharmaceutical and hygienic goods.
He died in Brussels (BE) in 1952 where his occupation at the time was Directeur du Service Médical de l’Ancienne Maison Sanders.
