STOCKHARDT Otto et al.

Paul Otto STOCKHARDT and Jacob FRANK were founder shareholders of the “Continental Caoutchouc- und Gutta-Percha Compagnie” set up in 1871 in Hannover.
They represented their company and were not inventors. The inventor was in fact Christian HARTMANN.
The “CONTINENTAL” company acquired the invention made in 1875 by Tierarzt HARTMANN in Hannover. The invention was known as Hartmannscher Hufpuffer, or Hartmann’scher Patent-Hufpolster (see Addendum).
