STEINS Joseph

Joseph STEINS was born 1833 in Vianden, son of François SREINS (tourneur).
In 1862 he married Anne Maria THIEL in nearby Neuerburg. Anne Maria was born in Neuerburg in 1820 and was a widow.
The couple STEINS-THIEL had three children, including twins. The twins were born 1863 in Neuerburg.
The family left Neuerburg around 1864 to take up residence in Vianden in Joseph’s parental home.
The Vianden Census of 1864 shows that François STEINS (father), Joseph and his two brothers worked as tourneurs in the family home.
Only one of the twins born in 1863 survived, and the third child, born in 1865 lived for only 6 months.
According to the Vianden 1871 Census, Joseph STEINS, his wife and his son Joseph had moved out from the parental home and lived in Maisgarten in the upper part (Oberstadt) of Vianden.
It is not known when and where Joseph STEINS died.
