STAUDT Jean Pierre
Jean Pierre STAUDT was born in Troine/Clervaux. He was the son of a Grenzaufseher.
In 1937, at the age of 23, STAUDT set up a repair shop for radios in Luxembourg-city:
Jean Pierre Staudt Luxembourg, rue des Dahlias, 3, atelier de réparations pour radios et commerce de radios, accessoires.
Jean Pierre’s sister Maria married Alphonse OSCH in 1936. The latter became Jean Pierre STAUDT’s business partner.
After WWII Alphonse OSCH set up a retail business for electro-domestic equipment in Luxembourg-city (10 bvd Roosevelt) under the name of Electro Radio OSCH.
In 1947, however, when OSCH became a Government Minister, he handed over the management of his business to his brother-in-law Jean Pierre STAUDT.
OSCH left the Government in 1951 and became head of the Luxembourg branch of the insurance company La Bâloise in 1953.
STAUDT and OSCH announced in 1956 that STAUDT was taking over the OSCH company and moving the merged businesses to 4 rue Aldringer.
In the years 1954-1955 STAUDT made 4 inventions for which he obtained patents. The patent rights were assigned to the company Electro Radio OSCH.
Jean Pierre STAUDT died in 2007 in Echternach.
