SPAUTZ Joseph

Joseph SPAUTZ was born in 1876 in WILTZ. He was the son of Simon Nicolas SPAUTZ (Sattler) and Anna KARLS.
Joseph became a Bäckermeister. In 1898 he married Elisabeth SCHEID in Luxembourg-city. She was the daughter of a Bauunternehmer.
In 1910 Joseph SPAUTZ ran a boulangerie-pâtisserie in Luxembourg-city (avenue Monterey 7) and a branch in Limpertsberg (avenue de Muhlenbach). In 1915 SPAUTZ transferred his bakery to Hollerich (rue Bel-Air) and renamed it “Grande Boulangerie Moderne, Joseph Spautz”.
In 1925 SPAUTZ appears to have left his bakery to become a négociant (agent commercial, confiserie en gros).
Joseph SPAUTZ died in 1953 in Luxembourg-city.
