SIEGEN Albert
Jules Camille Albert SIEGEN was born in Luxembourg-Clausen on 7 December 1892 as illegitimate son of Julie EYSCHEN. His original name was thus Albert EYSCHEN.
It took 12 years before Joseph Camille SIEGEN (Ingenieur) recognised, in 1904, the paternity of Albert EYSCHEN who forthwith took on the name of Albert SIEGEN.
Five years later, in 1909, Julie EISCHEN and Joseph Camille SIEGEN married in Luxembourg-city.
Albert SIEGEN married Marie Julie Justine DIEDERICH in 1918, daughter of Joseph Mathias DIEDERICH, Staats-Tierarzt. Albert’s occupation at the time was reported as industriel.
In 1925 he acquired the “Höhenhof” domain near Senningen.
Sennange.
SIEGEN’s name does not appear in the local press until 1936 (see Addendum). In 1948 he is reported to have travelled to New York, heading for Pittsburgh, in the company of his wife Justine SIEGEN-DIEDERICH.
At the time of filing his first patent application in 1935, SIEGEN established his trademark NEO-LUMA (see Addendum). The trademark also became the name of a company which, as of 1945, manufactured industrial heating systems for schools and churches, for example. The production of the systems took place in Pulvermuhl, in part of the buildings that had been earlier used by the Godchaux textile company.
NEO-LUMA stopped production in Pulvermuhl in 1950. The machinery was sold by the Domaines de l’Etat in 1951.
Justine DIEDERICH died in “Höhenhof” in 1951 and Albert SIEGEN married Paule KOERPERICH in 1965.
Albert SIEGEN died in 1971 in his home of “Höhenhof”. No evidence could be found that he had children.
