SCHILTZ Alex
Jean Baptiste Alexandre SCHILTZ was born in Hollerich in 1898. He was the son of an Eisenbahnbeamter/Bahnmeister.
Alex became an Elektriker.
In March 1922 he registered a company in his own name for offering his services as “entrepreneur d’installations électriques”.
Later in the same year he married Marie Hélène MASSELER, born 1902 in Hollerich. She was the daughter of a Wirt. The couple resided in Luxembourg-city (avenue Prince Henri 10).
In March 1927 Alex SCHILTZ and Alexis REINARD founded the company “Société Luxembourgeoise des Marbreries”, the object of the company being: “die Anfertigung von Zählerschalttafeln”.
REINARD left the company in November 1927 and SCHILTZ remained the sole owner. In 1932, however , Alex SCHILTZ, électricien et marbrier, was declared “en faillite” (bankrupt).
In 1944 Alex SCHILTZ’s son Nory, who had been enrolled by force in the NAZI Army, died on the Russian war front.
Alex SCHILTZ died in 1983 in Luxembourg-city. His wife Hélène died in 1987.
