SCHIFFMANN Nicolas

Mathias Joseph Nicolas SCHIFFMANN was born in 1909 in Grevenmacher. His father Matthias was a Schreiner, of German origin. His mother Magdalena WELSCH was born in Grevenmacher. The couple married in 1899 and settled in Grevenmacher. Matthias resided in Wasserbillig at the time.
They had 4 children, three girls and Nicolas. The latter also became a Schreiner. He married Maria KÜNZÉ in 1934 and took over his father’s carpentry business in 1938.
In 1956 SCHIFFMANN closed the business.
He died in 1978 in Luxembourg-city.
