SCHEDLINSKY Fritz
SCHEDLINSKY must have resided in the Pintsch (Wilwerwiltz) area around 1899, the year in which he filed his patent applications. No additional information about him, other than patents, could be found.
The family name SCHEDLINSKY is not even listed in any of the Luxembourg databases that have been consulted.
In the area around Wilwerwiltz a number of tanning stations had settled, e.g. in Enscherange, Lellingen and Pintsch.
In the latter village Arthur DELVAUX ran a tannery.
According to the Census of 1895 and 1900 Arthur DELVAUX (b. 1868) lived indeed in Pintsch together with his sister Lucie (b. 1872). SCHEDLINSKY, however, did not form part of the household and his presence elsewhere in Pintsch at the time could not be established.
It is quite remarkable that a tanner residing in Pintsch (a small village in the North of Luxembourg) applied in 1899 for patents in the UK, Spain and Switzerland and possibly other states.
The question also arises as to what motivated the inventor to file a patent application in the UK even before filing it in Luxembourg?
