PESCATORE Théodore (jr)
Théodore Ernest Dominique PESCATORE, Théodore (jr), was the son of Maria, Theodor PESCATORE (1871-1931), Théodore (sr). The latter was an engineer who resided first in the United Kingdom (1895-1905), subsequently in Liège (1906-1913) and finally in Bofferdange (1914-1931) where he established a factory for tipping wagons (bennes basculantes).
Théodore (jr) was born in Liège in 1912 but the family moved in 1914 to Bofferdange. When his father died he was aged only 19. However, judging from the patents he obtained in Luxembourg, he must have taken over the business in Bofferdange in the early 1930s, possibly at his father’s death in 1931. The patents dated 1933 were probably still based on inventions made by his father who died unexpectedly.
In 1937 Théodore PESCATORE (jr) married Henriette JOHANN in Lille. She was born in Paris.
Théodore (jr) obtained two more patents in 1946.
The PESCATORE Bofferdange business created by Théodore (sr) in 1914 and managed by his son Théodore (jr) in the early 1930s went bankrupt in 1949.
The business was taken over by the company BARBLÉ (Strassen).
In 1969 Théodore (jr) resided in Kinshasa (République Démocratique du Congo).
Théodore PESCATORE (jr) died in Luxembourg in 1999.
