OSCH Ernest
OSCH (b. 1925, Vianden) qualified in 1951 as ingénieur-électricien in Zurich (E.P.F.).
He joined the Société Industrielle de Vianden s.a. (SIVI) founded in 1952.
The company specialised in manufacturing fridges for domestic use under the name of “SIVI”. In 1956, the company SIVI went bankrupt but was later resuscitated under the name of SIVIA (1957).
OSCH left SIVI and took up a position as engineer in the Manufacture de Tabac A. Fixmer, in Ettelbruck. He resided in Ettelbruck (93 rue Adolphe).
In 1964 he married Pierrette LABOULLE and lived in Schieren (13 rue d’Ettelbruck).
The FIXMER company stopped production in Ettelbruck in 1968 and OSCH became ingénieur en chef of the Manufacture de Tabacs Heintz Van Landewyck. He took up residence in Roedgen (42 rue de Luxembourg).
When the Centre Hospitalier de la Ville de Luxembourg (CHL) was created in the early 1970s, OSCH became its directeur administratif on 15 September 1976. He retired in March 1990.
Ernest OSCH died in 1998.
