MODO Michel

Michel MODO was born on 16 December 1885 in rue Vauban (n° 47) in Pfaffenthal. He was the son of Mathias MODO, a Schlosser (maître-serrurier).
Michel married Catherine WEITZ, who lived almost next door, in rue Vauban (n° 33).
The couple had a daughter, born in 1907 near Paris, their residence at the time.
In 1909, when MODO’s uncle Jean WEBER-MODO died, he took over the latter’s Schlosserei-Werkstatt in 30 rue Feldchenstrasse (rue d’Anvers). MODO thus was, like his father, a maître-serrurier.
Around 1933 he transferred his business to 95 rue Adolphe Fischer.
He died on 29 February 1956 in Luxembourg-city.
