MAQUIL Emile

Emile Nicolas MAQUIL was born in 1907 in Mühlenbach/Rollingergrund. His father was a Schreiner. In 1932 Emile married Marie SIMON, daughter of a Gärtner in Mühlenbach.
In the same year he took over the “Stuhl und Möbelgeschäft J. GOTTFRING” in Luxembourg-city (23 rue des Capucins). Soon after, he set up an atelier in 15 rue de la Porte Neuve, and in 1936 Emile closed the shop in rue des Capucins.
In 1956 Emile transferred his atelier to Luxembourg-Gare (33 avenue de la Liberté) where he also set up a furniture shop under the name “MIWEL-ZENTRAL”:

Emile MAQUIL died in 1986 in Luxembourg-city.
