LOENERTZ Charles
Carl Johann LOENERTZ was born in Vianden; his father Arnold was a Bäckermeister at the time. In 1919 Arnold took a participation in the Vianden company “Elektrizitätswerk Nosbusch und Gebrüder Loenertz”, which was, however, already dissolved in 1922.
In 1920 The LOENERTZ family (Charles was aged 14) moved to Pétange where Arnold became cafetier. In 1925 he joined Mathias LAUDOR to set up a Bau- und Maschinenschlosserei in Esch sur Alzette.
It is quite likely that Charles (aged 19) received professional training in this company.
According to Charles’ patents, he later resided at the following adresses:
October 1933 Luxembourg
May 1938 Vianden
December 1938 Esch sur Alzette
Charles LOENERTZ died in 1943 in Berlin.
