LAMORT Ernest

Ernest LAMORT was born in 1879 in Manternach. He was the son of Eugène Jacques LAMORT who had taken over the Manternach paper producing plant from his uncle Jules LAMORT in 1868.
In 1900 Ernest LAMORT was reported to be pursuing studies in Lausanne. In 1905 he married Claire DE GAIL in Epinal (FR) and later took over the “Papeterie de Jeand’heurs”(Marne) from his uncle Maurice LAMORT.
Ernest LAMORT resided with his family in Vitry-le-François and died there in 1947.
His younger brother Marcel LAMORT was his associate in the paper plant and was also co-inventor of Ernest for a number of patents registered jointly by the brothers.
Marcel LAMORT, however, also obtained patents in his own name.
