KRAEMER Etienne

Peter Stephan KRAEMER was born on 18 October 1870 in Kelberg, Adenau (DE). He came to Luxembourg on 13 June 1899 and settled in Esch sur Alzette. He was first married to Theresa VONDUNG. The couple had a child born in 1903 who died in July 1903. Theresa VONDUNG died in September 1903.
KRAEMER opened an Uhrmacher shop in 4 Brillstrasse in 1907.
In 1908 he married Maria SERSCH (born in Otzenhausen, Trier) and in the same year he transferred his shop from 4 Brillstrasse to 32 Neustrasse where he lived and worked until 1928, when he closed the shop.
In 1933 he reopened an Uhren und Goldwarengeschäft in 28 Pasteurstrasse (Brillplatz) which he kept until 1938.
Etienne KRAEMER died in Esch sur Alzette in 1943.
His son, by the name of Ady KRAEMER, first held a Fachgeschäft für Brillen in Luxembourg-city and later followed in his father’s footsteps and became an horloger-bijoutier (gros et détail). He was married to Marguerite OFFENHEIM.
