KAPPWEILER Mathias

Mathias KAPPWEILER was born in 1905 in Lintgen, son of Johann KAPPWEILER (Schuster) and Catharina THOMÉ.
In 1922 he qualified as mécanicien-ajusteur at the “Ecole d’Artisans de l’Etat”. He became a dessinateur (Zeichner).
When he filed his patent application in 1927, together with Heinrich BOTTERBUSCH, he resided in Differdange (Bahnhofstrasse 58).
Heinrich BOTTERBUSCH resided also in Differdange (Bel’airstrasse). His occupation was ajusteur, probably a work colleague of KAPPWEILER.
BOTTERBUSCH was born in Hörde (Prussia) and was married to Elisabeth KLOPP, born also in Hörde. The couple had two children born in Differdange in 1904, respectively 1906.
In 1928 Mathias KAPPWEILER married Magdalena (Helena) HOFFMANN, born in Hollerich. The couple had a son, born in 1937 in Luxembourg-city.
As of 1948, at least, the KAPPWEILERs resided in Niedercorn.

Mathias KAPPWEILER died in 1988 in Luxembourg-city.
