HEUSCHLING Nicolas

Nicolas HEUSCHLING was born in 1895 in Itzig. He was the son of Nicolas HEUSCHLING (Wollweber) and Margaretha ZAHLEN.
Nicolas junior became a mécanicien.
Around 1922 he offered his services as car mechanic in Diekirch in his “Grand Garage du Nord”.
In 1925 he founded the company “Heuschling et Compagnie, Grand Garage du Nord” in association with fellow mechanic Joseph HENNES.
In 1926 Nicolas married Marie TURMES, born in Diekirch, daughter of a Schreiner.
Around 1947 HEUSCHLING set up a “Bureau technique” in Luxembourg-city (68 route d’Esch). In 1950 he was joined by his son René and the company was renamed “Nic. HEUSCHLING & fils”.
Nicolas HEUSCHLING died in Vianden in 1966.
In 1968 his son René moved the family business to 50 rue Glesener and changed its name to “Intermécanique, tout pour l’auto et l’industrie”.
