HENKES Robert

Robert Nicolas HENKES was born in Luxembourg-city (Philipps Gasse), son of Johann HENCKES (Buchführer, Commis) and Emilie GANGLER.
Robert became a hairdresser.
In 1922 Robert, his brother Edouard and his sister Emilie registered their agreement setting up a hairdresser’s salon under the name of “Henkes frères”.
In 1923 Robert married Anne Marcelle HOSCHEIT of Dudelange. The couple resided in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg (115 Baumbusch Avenue).
The KHIAT’s Annuaire of 1935 situates the “Henkes Frères” hairdresser salon in Luxembourg-Gare (avenue de la Liberté).
The two brothers Robert and Edouard HENKES registered a new agreement for their hairdresser salon in 1938, without their sister.
Robert HENKES died in 1968 in Luxembourg-city.
