HANNEN Clemens

Kaspar Clemens HANNEN was born in Steele/Essen (Germany). He became an Ingenieur and must have emigrated to the Lorraine in the late 1890s.
In 1900, when he married Anna Maria JAANS in Rumelange, he resided in Thionville. Anna Maria JAANS was born in Eich in 1878 and, a few months after her birth, became an orphan.
In 1900 she was living with her sister Victorine GRADWOHL-JAANS in Rumelange.
The couple HANNEN-JAANS resided in Luxembourg up to around 1927 when they took up residence in Sinzig (Rheinland Pfalz).
In 1927 Clemens HANNEN associated with Félix GINSBACH and Edouard WURTH by creating the company:

Ginsbach, Hannen et Wurth, ingénieurs, bureau technique et commercial s.e.n.c.
L’objet est l’exploitation des représentations, des fabrications, des brevets et des relations d’affaires des trois associés, l’acquisition de nouvelles représentations et fabrications avec toutes les opérations techniques ou commerciales y afférentes.

HANNEN gave 46 rue Bel’Air as his residence, but probably resided already in Sinzig.
By a court decision of January 1930 the company Ginsbach, Hannen et Wurth was dissolved and liquidated.
In March 1930, however, GINSBACH and HANNEN re-created the company, without WURTH, under the name of: Ginsbach Hannen & Cie., s.e.n.c.
HANNEN resided in Sinzig (Rheinland/Pfalz) but still used a Luxembourg-city address (10 rue Guillaume).
The object of the company was described as:

… la représentation, dans le Grand-Duché et à l’étranger, de maisons industrielles et de commerce, l’acquisition et l’exploitation de brevets et de marques de fabrique de tout genre et toutes opérations mobilières et immobilières qui se rattachent à cet objet ou qui en facilitent la réalisation.

HANNEN continued making inventions and obtaining patents in his own name.
By 1941 he carried the title of Hüttendirektor in Sinzig.
He applied for his last patent in 1952.
It is not known when and where HANNEN died.
