GRAUVOGEL Franz

Franz Johannes GRAUVOGEL was born in 1862 in Saarbrücken (DE). He became a Mechaniker and joined the sewing machine manufacturer “Singer & Comp”. where he advanced to chef-mécanicien.
Around 1902 he came with his family (wife Sophie Maria MÜLLER and 4 children) to Luxembourg-city. One more son was born in Luxembourg in 1902. GRAUVOGEL’s occupation was still Mechaniker.
In 1914 he set up his own Nähmaschinen-Reparatur-Werkstätte in Luxembourg-city (Arsenalstrasse 18, later Arsenalstrasse 14), see Addendum.
Franz GRAUVOGEL died in 1930 in Welfrange/Dahlheim where one of his daughters Franziska Sophie had settled.
