GEIBEN Jean Pierre

Jean Pierre, born as Jean GEIBEN, was born in Cinqfontaines (Troisvierges) in1890. His father Michel GEIBEN, born in Hachiville, was Müller on the “Pfaffenmühle”. His mother Suzanne THOMMES was born in Weiswampach.
Jean became a coiffeur.
In 1914 the couple GEIBEN-THOMMES founded a hostel in Troisvierges.
In 1918 Jean married Anne ARENS, born in 1894 in Troisvierges. At the time Jean was residing in Born (Mompach). The couple settled in Born where their first son was born. The family moved around 1920 to Troisvierges where in 1921 Jean took over the family hostel in Troisvierges. He became coiffeur-cabaretier; his café was called “Café de la poste J.P. Geiben-Arens”. At that time GEIBEN adopted the double first name “Jean Pierre”.
In the mid-1920s the family GEIBEN-ARENS left Troisvierges for Esch sur Alzette where Jean Pierre became an Autovermieter.
Jean Pierre GEIBEN died in Bruxelles in 1951.
