DERKUM Pierre

Pierre (Antoine) DERKUM was born in 1921 in Luxembourg-Hollerich. He was the son of Antoine BERKUM, and Marie Christine SCHMITZ, both of German origin (Rheinland-Pfalz). In 1920 Antoine and his family moved from the Lorraine (FR) to Luxembourg. Antoine became director of the Société des briquetteries à Bettembourg.
In 1934 Antoine BERKUM joined (co-founded?) the company HELIOS in Lintgen.
Pierre DERKUM joined the firm managed by his father.
In 1939 he obtained Luxembourg citizenship (he probably held German Citizenship).
Pierre DERKUM died in 1975 in Garnich (13 rue des Champs).
