Anton BOCKHORST was born in 1801 in Drensteinfurt, near Münster/Nordrhein-Westfalen (DE). He became a distillateur.
In 1846 he resided in Pas de Calais (France), and in 1869, at the age of 68, BOCKHORST came to Luxembourg, unaccompanied.
He died in 1871 in Luxembourg-city in Auberge Lacaff (28 Regierungsgasse) where he had lived for two years.
