BIRNBAUM Bernard

Bernard BIRNBAUM was born in 1889 in Dudelange. His father’s occupation was commis.
Bernard studied engineering and obtained his diploma in 1905 at the “Karlsruhe Hochschule” (see Addendum).
In 1922 he set up as consulting engineer in Esch-sur-Alzette. He later took up an engineering position with the ARBED steelworks.
He married Marianne HEINRICY in 1938. She was born in Wilwerwiltz. The couple had no children.
Bernard retired as “chef de service des ARBED” in 1954.
Bernard BIRNBAUM died in 1967 in Esch-sur-Alzette. His wife Marianne HEINRICY died in 1976.
