BADEN Henri

Henri BADEN was born in 1872 in Herborn/Mompach. His father Jacques BADEN was an Ackerer, born in Herborn, and his mother Maria HAUER was born in Bitburg/Prussia.
Henri received his secondary education in Echternach (Progymnasium) and Luxembourg-city (Athénée), and subsequently studied theology at the Priesterseminarium in Luxembourg-city. He was ordained priest of the Luxembourg catholic church in 1897.
In 1899 he obtained a doctorate in theology at the University of Freiburg (DE) and called himself Dr Heinrich BADEN.
During the following years he acted as aumônier (enseignant?) in Riedenburg/Bregenz (Austria)and Aachen (Prussia).
In 1913 BADEN returned to Luxembourg and integrated into the Luxembourg Church. He was first named curé in the parish of Fischbach, before being assigned to the parish of Machtum in 1918.
Henri BADEN died in 1932 in Herborn.
